This small glass is an arrangement of traditional techniques and design. The entire glass is made to look like a kimono, with the center of the glass rubbed like a belt. The pattern of interlocking circles engraved on this glass is called "cloisonne linkage". The pattern, which looks like a flower or a star, is popular as a kimono pattern, and is a lucky symbol of harmony and happiness.
